Butterfly Valves

Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves are similar to ball valves in design and functioning; however, instead of a rotating ball with a bore, they have a disc that controls the flow of liquids passing through it. It also has a shaft, which may be used to open or close the disc. Another major difference between ball and butterfly valves is that the former is used to control the flow of liquids, vapours and gases, whereas the latter regulates only fluid flow. Butterfly valves are usually preferred by industries for their cost effectiveness, light weight and basic design. However, these valves cannot handle very high temperature and pressure levels, so they are suited to specific requirements wherein the flow and temperature are reasonably low.

Brosco’s butterfly valves are resilient and long lasting and may be your ideal choice if you require a valve to control fluid flow at low pressure and temperature levels.
